They began selling these cookies – in the shapes of the “vanilla ring”, the “Finnish bread”, the “star” shaped cookie, the “pretzel” and “round” cookie – to the neighboring villages, where the wonderful buttery treats soon caught on and spread throughout the country, leading to the opening of their first commercial bakery.
